Simple Instructor Cross over

Ready to expand your teaching opportunities with an ISO-recognized agency? If you hold a current ISO 24802-2 Instructor rating with PADI, SSI, RAID, SDI/TDI, NAUI or similar—we welcome you to cross over to ISC and continue teaching with flexibility, professionalism, and global recognition.

 

Our Philosophy

ISC embraces the global diving industry's foundation—ISO-aligned training standards. Instructors crossing over from PADI, SSI, RAID, SDI/TDI or other ISO-compliant agencies already hold the instructional ability to teach diving competently and safely. ISC’s outcome-based standards allow teaching flexibility while maintaining global training quality.

For example, when teaching a mask-clearing skill, you may use the method you are most comfortable with or that suits your student—as long as the student meets the skill objective and the instructor verifies competency, the standard is met.

What the ISC Crossover Involves
 

  • Online registration and profile setup

  • Online medical screening (physician clearance only if needed)

  • Current ISO 24802-2 Instructor certification (within the last 12 months)

  • Current First Aid & CPR certification

  • Nitrox certification

  • Declaration of any QA or liability actions within the past 24 months

  • Minimum 100 logged dives and 60 underwater hours

  • Pass the ISC Standards Exam (25 questions)

  • Interview or review by an ISC Instructor Trainer

  • Practical workshop if required (Trainer discretion)

All crossovers are individually reviewed by ISC HQ.
Additional training or evaluation may be requested based on documentation and professional history.
Acceptance is at the discretion of ISC HQ, in alignment with our ISO-audited quality assurance protocols.
